Miriam Deutch, a resident of North River since 2016, is an active volunteer in various North River community organizations. After a 35 year career as professor, art librarian and curator at Brooklyn College, a senior college in the City University of New York, Miriam brings many years of administrative, education and art experience to her volunteer work. She also serves as the Programming Director for Artists Talk on Art forum.  Miriam is dedicated to using her professional acumen to broaden access to cultural, educational programs and building strong communities.  As a Tannery Pond Community Board member she is interested in supporting the TPC to produce arts programming and ensure a welcoming community center. Miriam is passionate about the arts, enjoys traveling, and exploring the wonders of the Adirondacks on foot, on her bike and in her kayak.
