Adirondack Folk School will host: Walk on the Wild Side Foraging with Margo Mullein

Thursday, August 10 | 9 am - 12 pm | Cost: $70-$85 | Register: HERE

The plants are whispering…beckoning us to gather “in the wild.” This class is for those who would like to answer that call. To work with the plants at their peak in the location in which they thrive! Using techniques from various earth-based traditions, discover the many benefits of wild foraging including: approaching the plants with an open and receptive heart, working intuitively, setting intentions for the exchange, asking permission as a way of giving respect, giving thanks, wild plant identification, and making herbal preparations on the spot!

Instructor Margo Mullein: Margo has been a practicing, certified herbalist since 1998. She has taught privately, for groups, and for organizations such as the Lake George Land Conservancy and Wiawaka Holiday House. She is involved in the Native American community of the Hudson River Valley, and practices the ancient Celtic Ceile De tradition. Margo is the founder of a Native American Teaching Circle, “Women of the 13 Moons” now in its 5th year. She enjoys guiding others to nurture and deepen their relationship with the earth, through lectures, educational classes, walks on the wild side, weekend workshops, and retreats.
