  • Tannery Pond Community Center 228 Main Street North Creek, NY, 12853 United States (map)

John Bielik will host a paper marbling workshop for adults on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the Tannery Pond Center Green Room. The workshop cost is $10 per person* payable via cash or check in advance at our ticket window during building hours or at the start of the workshop. To reserve your spot, please call 518-251-2505. Space is limited to the first 16 reserved spots.

On Saturday, John Bielik will be hosting a free demonstration from 12-4 pm outside on the green space on the North side of the building. Saturday’s demonstration is open to all guests. No reservations are required for Saturday. A food truck will be available for guests to enjoy lunch.

Paper marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other kinds of stone. The patterns are the result of color floating on either plain water or a viscous solution, and then carefully transferred to an absorbent surface, such as paper or fabric. In this workshop, we will only be using paper.

*Our workshop series costs are as follows (discounts for multiple registrations): $10 per workshop per person, $15 for two workshops per person, $25 for three workshops per person, $35 for four workshops per person, or $40 for five workshops per person.

This event is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
