The North County band is the creative culmination of Chicago-born singer-songwriter Scott Smith and Texas fiddle sensation, Cat Lines.  Together they summoned some of Connecticut's most seasoned and versatile musicians to compliment their songwriting craft & musical prowess and to deliver a unique signature sound.  Their debut EP,  "Connecticut", is widely regarded as a grass-roots collaborative effort with songs about the Nutmeg State, isolation, challenges of the modern era, and family.  This initial recording release propelled the band into a nine-state, 115-date tour, as well as nominations for New England's "Country Act of the Year" and "Rising Stars of Connecticut" by the New England Music Awards.  Wasting no time, the North County Band has now partnered with renowned music producer David Morgan of the Music Shed Studios, to get to work on their sophomore release and fan-funded "Lay it on the Line" LP which is currently in development and widely anticipated. SCOTT SMITH, ACOUSTIC GUITAR / LEAD VOCALS

A native of the Midwest, Scott was raised on country music and Southern rock.  He learned to play guitar at the age of 12 and inherited his singing voice from his mother.  Scott came to CT in 2009 and has been a regular on the Fairfield County music scene. He is a former member of the rock band Vintage and has performed hundreds of shows as a solo artist and band member.  His songwriting has been featured at the Workshop Collective songwriters showcase. He formed the North County Band in 2020.

CAT LINES, FIDDLE / LEAD VOCALS

Cat Lines is a fiddle player, singer-songwriter & vocalist from Garland Texas. With NCB and others, she has performed over 200 dates across the Northeast and Midwest. She has been playing violin since the age of 8 and now performs country, acoustic and pop styles with many projects. Her original songs can be found on Spotify and all streaming platforms and have been featured on blogs such as Southern Fellow and a Starbucks official holiday playlist.

BRADLEY CLARK, BASS GUITAR

Knowing at an early age that bass guitar was calling him, Brad has drawn piano and guitar influence from his Mother and chose to follow his own path with the low bass frequencies.  Partnering with many singer-songwriters, cover and tribute bands, and countless shows up and down the East Coast, Mid-West and Mid-Atlantic region, he has carved out his niche as an in-demand and quintessential cornerstone to many rhythm sections.

Often choosing a humble, dynamic and selective style, and "less is more" playing approach with focus on notes played and not played, Brad can easily frame the foundation for most any performance situation.  His experience on the road through countless Casinos, Theaters, and Corporate events and experience with many session greats along the way has led him down a path as a valued rock, country, tribute, and original style bass player / side-man.

JONA ZIAC, LAP STEEL / DOBRO

Jonathan (Jona) Ziac is a multi-instrumentalist who has performing wih bands for over 35 years.  He has played hundreds of stages including Infinity Hall, The Warner Theatre, Daryl's House Club, and the Georgia Theatre in Athens GA. His primary instruments are Dobro, lap steel, guitar and bass and he enjoys playing many genres of music including blues, rock, country, and bluegrass. Always up for new musical adventures Jona enjoys sitting in with other groups as well as staying busy is his primary bands.

PETER HILL, DRUMS

Peter is the drummer and co-songwriter for the North County Band. Having grown up in Boston, gone to art school in Chicago and played in many bar bands in NYC, he settled in Connecticut with his wife and two children. A self-taught drummer, Peter has been chasing the perfect groove since his first band in high school. His hero’s define his style: Charlie Watts for economy of the beat, Stewart Copeland for innovation, Neil Peart for composition and Bill Kreutzmann groove and improvisation. Peter songwriting is firmly rooted in the Country and Americana styles. He played for many years in a roots and rock band Yippie Coyote that stretched its reach as far down as Nashville and a real nail-biter of a show on the famed Country station WDVX in Knoxville.
